This winter vacation I finally visited a place where I was curious about and wanted to explore for a while. Near the end of the vacation, my father took my sisters and I to an big and old house ,where my ancestors lived a long time ago, is composed of three-section compound. We knew much more about the place that our ancestors grew up and how people lived before ,but the place is too large that we didn’t have enough time to search everywhere.
There I learned a lot of things that I have never known before this visit. One of elder relatives told us many stories about our family ,and showed some cool things we seldom see nowadays. We also learned of that the Chen clan came from Fujian Province a long time ago from a horizontal inscribed board.
Many people do not know much about their ancestors for their entire life. But to me ,the Chen clan is the root of me ,and my family as well. I think it’s really important to me even to my whole life to learn more about my family. So ,I am proud that I learned the origin of my family and found who I am. It really means a lot to me. And ,I think that my winter vacation this year was more colorful than the others!
