I believe I have mentioned my family trip in winter vacation already. The photo was taken when we just arrived at Tatung. In the photo, I stood by a cliff, pointing to a harbor. But it was more than an usual harbor, it was also a naval port! Don’t be shock, I didn’t believe this beautiful, peaceful harbor was a naval port at first time either until my dad told me this unbelievable information. Furthermore, according to my father, even submarines came in and stopped in this port! Sadly we couldn’t see that from the surface of the quiet, windless Pacific Ocean. After taking some photos, due to my curiosity, I asked my dad for this harbor’s name. Believe it or not, it was a familiar name I’ve seen on textbooks many times-----Suao Harbor(蘇澳港).
